The Executive Committee unanimously resolved:
1. To extend the last date for online applications till 1st July, 2020; and
2. To announce a date for the CLAT 2020 exam by 1st July 2020 giving students at least 21 days’ prior notice for the exam.

Result date: The result of CLAT 2019 exam is to be declared on 2019 online.


This year, a total of 50676 applied for CLAT 2017 out of which 47108 appeared for the online test. Now these candidates may want to know their results. Candidates need to login at below link to check result. Earlier CLAT had invited applications for this entrance test. Eligible candidates had applied up to 31 March 2017. Now the written exam had been conducted successfully and the process of preparation of results is under way.

Clat Allotment List 2020:

The first indicative seat allocation list based on merit-cum-preference will be published on 2019. The 2nd allotment list will be out on June 23, 2019. 3rd allotment list will be out on June 28, 2019.

CLAT 2020 Application Form

Step 1: Go to www.clat.ac.in

Step 2: Applicants are required to fill their personal, academics and other details a mentioned in the form.

Step 3: Applicants are required to upload their recent passport size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms) and signature of JPG format within 100kb.

Step 4: Applicants are required to make the payment online through Debit/ Credit Card.

CLAT Application fees: To complete the application process successfully applicants need to pay their application form fees for General Category Rs 4000/-and for Reserved Category Rs 3500/-

CLAT 2020 Paper Pattern

For UG Exam:
  • The test consists of 200 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each.
  • Total time or the examination is 2 hours.
  • Applicants will lose 0.25 marks for each wrong answer attempted.
  • In the event of equal marks scored by two or more candidates in the CLAT 2016, the tie will be broken by the following procedure and order:
    • Higher marks in the section of Legal aptitude.
    • Higher age
    • Computerized draw of lots.

CLAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programs

Candidates those are interested for appearing in CLAT 2020 must have completed higher secondary or equivalent from a recognized university and secured minimum 45% of marks (40% for SC/ST). Age of interested candidates should be 20 years as on 1st July 2016 (for SC/ST/PWD, the age limitation is 22 years).

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Programs

In order to get admission under Post Graduate program, Candidates should have an LLB or five year integrated LLB degree from a recognized university and scored minimum 55% of marks (50% for SC/ST applicants). There is no any age limitation is specified by concerned authority.
